Nearing our 20 week anatomy scan, we get the results back from our second prenatal screen (this is when I learned there were 2 screenings!). This time, doc says she has good news and bad news. To skip to the bad, the second screen came back positive for Down Syndrome. So, she was referring us to a dedicated prenatal diagnostic center for further care around this. But, the cat's out of the bag now! No more hiding this bump!  So, yes, after a year of trying, we did finally conceive! Maybe my efforts paid off, who knows! Pregnancy has been such an amazing journey. I'm absolutely loving every moment of it! I've been one of the lucky few, with very little morning sickness (knock on wood!). I have noticed (this was not a new discovery!) that my mind never stops. I’m thinking about things all day every day. Strategizing, thinking of business ideas, propositions, to do lists, giving myself a hard time about this or that, why I haven’t been more successful, why I can’t seem to get myself out of my comfort zone, should I buy that thing I found online today, it's a good price, but do I need it, I probably shouldn't, but I really want it... maybe if I return some other things, ho...

We have some friends who dropped their kids off for a slumber party, then went out for date night, only to get a phone call not much later telling them that both kids were throwing up uncontrollably, and had to be picked up. So, date night came to a screeching halt, and turned into a vile car ride home and a slumber party in their bedroom, with kids and buckets on the floor.
