I've been keeping a big secret.... for longer than I actually meant to! Life's been so hectic with our move to Port Orchard, Washington, our Pod getting here 10 days late, then a previously planned trip to Kansas for our baby shower (with my husband's family), buying a new car, driving across country... My husband picked up a job in Los Angeles, so we were back there briefly after KS.... now we're finally back to the Pacific Northwest, and finally able to start settling in. We're still getting our stuff out of boxes, and into the closets.... things are finally STARTING to feel like home again. It's a lot of work though, wow! (And, there's still a little more to go.... when will this ever end?!)
But, the cat's out of the bag now! No more hiding this bump!
So, yes, after a year of trying, we did finally conceive! Maybe my efforts paid off... who knows!
Pregnancy has been such an amazing journey. I'm absolutely loving every moment of it! I've been one of the lucky few, with very little morning sickness (knock on wood!). I am more in love with my body now than I have ever been in my life, and it transfers to an overall greater sense of confidence, and general happiness. I kinda just want to be pregnant the rest of my life.....! Hahaha! (If I can just keep my bump the size it is now, and without all the kids that would come with that!)
Not going to get too much into this now, but we're planning a home birth and are waiting til the very end to find out the sex. Baby's been kicking up a storm, practicing it's karate. It is such a weird, yet amazing thing to feel this little one inside me! I get just as excited with every kick now, as I did for that very first one... What a miracle this whole thing is. We've got our birth team set, and are currently in search of a birth photographer. Things are coming together!
31 weeks tomorrow (can't believe it!)... Baby is due early January 2019!!
Gonna get back to this never ending to-do list. But, there you have it! I will share more about our experience shortly, with more photos to come as well! Much love to you all!
